This website is a work in progress. Within a few months, I hope to have items for sale here. These will include earrings and up-cycled vintage textiles. The textiles will be made into clothing and accessories.

About Me
Hello, I’m Melanie the designer, artistic creator, dreamer and entrepreneur. My day job is Marriage and Family Therapy. Between sessions, and a few dedicated days a week, I slip into design mode. The world opens in magical ways when I do. Every evening and most weekends, you can find me sketching my next project. I am always scheming and dreaming. I spend my time sitting at the sewing machine, cutting table, or beading table, making tiny works of art. I am inspired by my French Canadian (Filles du Roi) Ancestry and natural fibers. The natural environment and animals influence me. So do the woods surrounding my mountainside home and workshop in Wallace, Idaho. All my work has a core theme of up cycling as much of the material construction parts as possible. I started The Vintage Lamb Mercantile to develop a business. I wanted to sell online. I also aimed to sell at art shows and craft fairs in my region of North America. My long term goals include developing the Miners Daughter Mercantile. It is a sister company and nonprofit to help women in my community. The goal is support creativity and the pursuit of financial stability. This involves the world of textile artistic design and sustainable small business ventures in the Silver Valley.
